The revised Constitution
and Bylaws of First Lutheran Church received the first of two required
approval votes at the Congregational Meeting on June 8, 2008. The second
vote will take place at the next semi-annual Congregational Meeting which
will occur in January of 2009. The replacement Constitution has been
prepared to meet the requirements of the ELCA and New England Synod. You
will have opportunities between now and January to review the new
constitution and make comments.
We are making available
a presentation prepared by the Parish Planning Committee. This provides a
side-by-side comparison of our existing constitution and the proposed
replacement.
