* DAY CAMP for ages 4 1/2 - 12 years

Campers ages 4 1/2 - 10 enjoy a full range of summer experiences including hiking, games, crafts, nature study, swimming, sports, learning the bible, and the arts.  We offer weekly field trips to area beaches, parks and other places of local interest.  Weekly themes bring a focus and thrill to our camp!

Campers ages 11 - 12 enjoy all that is mentioned above as well as expanded activities to increase personal confidence, peer trust and support.  Campers in this group are involved in the planning of camp wide activities and events. This group goes on additional trips through the week.

* CIT PROGRAM for ages 13 & 14 years

The CIT (Counselors in Training) is a leadership-training program offered to a limited number of youth ages 13 & 14.  This is a great opportunity for youth to learn what it takes to be an effective camp counselor.  These youth will be helping to plan, implement and lead activities, games and worship.

Who is this for?

 · For ages 4 1/2 - 12 years (must be 5 by Dec. 31, 2008)
 

· Special activities for youth in 4th grade and up.

· ADMISSION IS ON A FIRST-COME,  FIRST-SERVED BASIS AND WILL BE PROVIDED REGARDLESS OF RACE, SEX, AGE, COLOR, NATIONAL ORIGIN OR  HANDICAPPING CONDITION.
 

You may register for all seven weeks of camp or any number or combination of weeks.

Our camp runs from 7 am - 5:30 pm.  You may enroll in one of the following schedules:

· DAY CAMP             9 am to 4 pm

· EXTENDED CAMP    7 am to 5:30 pm

Schedule Changes and Withdraws

Schedule changes (e.g. switching or dropping weeks) are allowed prior to April 16. 

NO SCHEDULE CHANGES ARE ALLOWED

AFTER April 16.

Payment is expected if you change

schedule/withdraw after April 16.

· For those registered for all seven weeks of day camp:   Payment is due weekly, on the Friday prior to the week of attendance.

· For those registered for from 1 to 6 weeks of camp, payment is due on the following     Mondays:

Payment for Week  1 is due on June 2

Payment for Weeks 2 & 3 is due on June 16

Payment for Weeks 4 & 5 is due on June 30

Payment for Weeks 6 & 7 is due on July 14

· Payments may be made in person or by mail.

· Checks and Money Orders must be made payable to First Lutheran Day Camp. NO CASH ACCEPTED.

We  have  funding through the Department of Health & Human Services based on family income and other eligibility requirements. 

In addition, camperships are made available to children through the First Lutheran Church and grants from the Thrivent organization.

· One Registration Form per camper please.

· To Register please complete the Registration Form.  Return it with a check or money order, payable to First Lutheran Day Camp, for the non- refundable amount of $35.

 Our Staff
 

· The staff, many who have worked in the day camp for more than two years, are selected for their experience, training and education in the fields of camping, education and youth leadership.

· The staff are Red Cross First Aid and CPR trained and certified.
